MY SERVICES

Below are the main services I offer, however one of the advantages of utilising an independent specialist is that I can tailor a service to your exact needs.

CONTINGENCY RECRUITMENT
Contingency recruitment is a type of recruitment that involves recruitment being carried out for clients on a contingent or project by project, basis. I may or may not be competing with other agencies and the client may also be utilising their own resources i.e. their website, advertising etc. The process I use is described below
  • Once I have a thorough understanding of your needs, I will begin the search for candidates, this includes full inclusion in my composite advertising in a variety of sources as well as social media to attract new candidates who would specifically be applying for your vacancy. I do not rely purely on advertising for candidates though! Due to the time I have been recruiting in the sector I have built up an extensive database of industry experienced professionals (circa 50% of my placements come from candidates I have spoken to in the past, but NOT placed). I approach the candidates whose skills and experience meet your exact needs. They of course may not be actively seeking a move (so they wouldn't see an advert) but may be interested in your specific role and you can be assured that I never approach a candidate that I have placed in a position.   
  • I will handle applications, carry out initial telephone interviews, send appropriate CVs to you, co-ordinate interviews, obtain feedback and keep you fully up to speed with the progress of the assignment. 
  • Working independently I do not have the high overheads of other recruiters, therefore with careful control of my costs I can offer my contingency search service for just 10% of the first year annual basic salary and remember my services are entirely free until I successfully introduce a candidate to you.
Remember my services are always FREE until you decide to recruit a candidate through me, you only pay a fee when you’re satisfied that the candidate I have introduced is worthy of your financial and time investment. It does not cost you anything to instruct me to explore the market for suitable candidates.

RETAINED RECRUITMENT
A retained search differs from contingency recruitment in that the services of a single recruitment consultancy are exclusively used to conduct a more thorough and methodical search, guaranteeing that only the hired recruiter will fill the vacancy. This can often deliver greater results as it ensures that the recruiter can dedicate more time to the candidate attraction. One of the main differentiating factors to this method of search, is that the recruiter is paid a proportion of the expected total fee at different stages of the recruitment process. There are many benefits of going down the retained recruiter route. Firstly, it doesn’t cost you anything more and you will have a far closer relationship with the recruiter. Secondly, as the recruiter is working exclusively on your vacancy, they will be able to spend more time and due diligence in sourcing you the candidates that are most suited to your vacancy.
An industry specialist recruiter will be better placed to help with a retained search having contact and conversations daily with people within the industry, utilising their network and knowledge of the sector to find the right candidate. Lastly, rather than working your way through a pile of applications (some of whom may be irrelevant), a retained recruiter, in an ideal world, should generally provide you with dossiers of an agreed number of candidates who have been thoroughly researched and approached on your behalf. All that’s left for you to do is carry out the interviews. So, while you will be giving up some control over the process here, it’s not necessarily a bad thing as it cuts down your workload! A further plus point (which I hope doesn't need to be used) is that whilst contingency recruitment offers you a short rebate/free replacement period, it’s more common for a retained search to offer a longer rebate period up to circa 6 months. Therefore, giving you the client extra security in your decision. Due to the nature of this type of project, I will devise a solution tailor made to your requirements. VIRTUAL IN-HOUSE RECRUITER
With this new service I bring all my experience and knowledge to assist you to fill your vacancies with the minimum of fuss and expense. Why might you engage me as your virtual in-house recruiter?
  • You're a growing business and now hiring more often. You have a small HR team or a reluctant Manager takes on the additional role of recruiter. Either way recruiting interferes with their core duties, running an effective recruiting campaign in-house is time consuming. Job board advertising, reviewing, interviewing and general recruiting may not be your strongest skills either.  
  • As your Virtual In-house Recruiter, I will help you devise an advertising campaign. field all applications, telephone interview potential candidates, forward relevant CVs to you, arrange interviews and communicate with the candidate once an offer is made.  
  • You get all my expertise when you need it, giving you access to a dedicated industry experienced recruiter without the expense of employing somebody full time. 
  • My fees and service levels will be tailored to your needs, priced on an hourly, daily or length of project basis.
SECURITY OFFICER RECRUITMENT
With unemployment in the UK at low levels it is becoming increasingly difficult to recruit Security Officers for certain roles in certain areas. Therefore I have devised a cost effective means by which I can assist you when you need to source Operatives, whether they are for your normal requirements, a new contract, are required at short notice, in large numbers, in an unfamiliar area or for a special project for a fixed fee. I have candidates from all disciplines of manned guarding including rail, corporate, general commercial, concierge, retail, construction site, museums, attractions, mobile patrol, CCTV and control room operatives. What is included?
  • Full inclusion in my composite advertising on an assortment of job boards as well as social media to attract new candidates who would specifically be applying for your vacancy.
